3. What objects can be seen at the lowest resolution?
- 15 meters: outlines of cities, roads, forests, general landscape.
- 60 CM: Individual houses, streets and even some vehicles.
- 30 CM: Same as 60 CM but with more objects coming into view
Reflection: I was just a little confused on the initial layering, however the uses of polygons, lines, and points do a really good job on maps to display landscape and human movement. Digital mapping with imagery from space really does a lot of good work in detailing how accurate maps can be. For resolutions to be so clear to the point we can see individual vehicles and streets for landscapes sure does prove to be a valuable tool for all of us.
Assignment 10:

Shows Cholera cases by address.

Location of water pumps shown and heat map created. The epicenter where the cholera outbreak started was from the 50 Broadwick Street pump.

Assessment:

For the 48 contiguous states, its seems most of covid's spread as around the coasts and the mainly for the eastern half of the country. It makes a lot of sense since most of the major cities in the US run along the east and western coasts. The states in the western portion of the country are also not as populated as the eastern side of the country which can explain the differences between each half.
Reflection:
Overall, I've felt I've learned an important tool on understanding how epidemiologists map the spread of diseases and their expression in large countries. It definitely puts into perspective how sophisticated disease mapping has become with the use of technology.
